Inspiration is abound in The Sims Social, as time after time players create new artwork using nothing but tools and glitches in the game. Playfish's top Facebook game has spurred an artistic community in the same vein as FarmVille, and this time it's clear that players are psyched for the upcoming Avengers flick. Both Spider-Man and Captain America have been transformed into Tile Art.

What's great about both of these designs is that they're not attempts to create pixel-perfect renditions of how either superhero appears in the comics, but reimagined into new forms. In this case, both Spider-Man and Captain America have been created using Tile Art as 8-bit video game, or Nintendo game, characters. The way each piece, crafted by player SamRi, immediately conveys the character using such minimalism is impressive.
You see this rendition of Captain America and immediately know that it's him based on the colors and the stripes. The same applies for Spider-Man: a spot-on, clever use of color gives it right away. In fact, don't both of these look like Mega Man as he appears in Mega Man 2, only with a new coat of paint? Very clever, SamRi, clever indeed.
