Similar to the 12 Days of Adventure event currently taking place in Adventure World, Pioneer Trail has received its own Holiday Countdown event, this one called the "10 Days of Presents." The first two goals of this 10-part event are already available (you can access them by clicking on the Holiday Lodge on the outskirts of your Homestead), with each rewarding with you Stocking Stuffers, a contest entry that will give you a chance of winning some great prizes (including real-world cash!). First though, here's a rundown of the 10 goals and how to complete them.
Hank's Feathery Festive Sweater
You're asked to sell only the basic, regular Chicken for this task, while the Flax Twine can be earned at random when harvesting Flax. You may only have to plant 20 individual squares of Flax, but I'd suggest planting at least double that just in case your luck doesn't work in your favor. Finishing this goal gives you 100 XP and a Stocking Stuffer and unlocks the Beet crop for you in the store.
Granny and Doc by the Fire
The Potent Eggnog comes from friends, as you'll be able to ask for some via a standard post on your wall. Meanwhile, the Cashmere Sweaters are found at random from tending Adult Goats. Finishing this goal rewards you with 200 XP, three Stocking Stuffers and a Fruitcake energy item.
Holidays with the McBagginses
You'll need to ask your friends to join your home decorating crew, which can thankfully be done while you're waiting for your Wheat to grow. Once you finish this goal, you'll receive 300 XP, two Stocking Stuffers and a Horse.
Bess' Holiday Thunder
The Winter Scarves can be crafted using six Cotton Threads and three Colorful Tassels each. You'll be able to earn the Tassels by asking your friends to send them to you. As for the Horse requirement, these need to be the standard, non-rideable horses on either your own Homestead or your friends' when visiting. When you finish this goal, you'll receive 400 XP, four Stocking Stuffers and a Speckled Sussex.
Bart's Traveling Holiday
To be clear, it doesn't matter which kind of animal you tend on your neighbors' land, so long as they're adults. With most animals, the adult form is pretty easy to spot (just look for the ring through the Oxen noses, for instance). As for the Wreaths, these take two Plain Wreaths and 5 Bow Ribbons each to craft, with a Plain Wreath being crafted using four Holiday Berries (ask for them from friends) and 5 Pine Branches. Once you finish this goal, you'll receive 500 XP, five Stocking Stuffers and two Triple Mastery 12 Hour boosts.
At this point, once you've finished all five of the above goals, you'll receive an unlock of the Poinsettias crop as your prize.
Little Sister, Big Surprise
When you finish this goal, you'll receive 600 XP, six Stocking Stuffers and a Belted Cow.
Last Minute Gift for Fanny
These Cows need to be the standard cow that has been available from the beginning. It's likely that Adult Cows won't count, since we're specifically told "Young," so if you have to, just buy some new cows from the store until you hit 30 and then sell them off. To craft a Bouquet of Roses, you'll first need to craft a Small Bouquet using four Blooming Pink Roses and four Blooming White Roses. From there, you'll take a single Small Bouquet and combine that with five Long Stem Roses (ask your friends to send them to you) to make a single Bouquet of Roses. Yes, it's a lot of work, but you'll receive 700 XP, eight Stocking Stuffers and two Triple Mastery 24 Hour Boosts as your prizes.
Remember the Time
Like the McBaggins goal above, you'll need to ask your friends to help you out with decorating your home for the holidays. You can do this while waiting for your Poinsettias to grow. However, remember that since you can work on more than one of these 10 Days of Presents goals at the same time, you will need to have finished all six of the first set to actually be able to plant Poinsettias on your land. Either way, when you do finally finish this goal, you'll earn 800 XP, eight Stocking Stuffers and 2 Frozen Orange Trees as your rewards.
Keeping Young
Frozen Orange Trees cost 5 Horseshoes each from the store, but once you finish the goal above, you'll at least have two that you can start to harvest right away. In fact, you can stick solely with those if you'd like to never buy one from the store, or you can flush out your orchard by having your friends send you some Frozen Orange Trees from the game's free gifts page. Finish this goal and you'll receive 900 XP, 10 Stocking Stuffers and two Frozen Golden Sheep.
To: Bess - From: Little Crow
Like the cow task in the goal above, you may need to buy Oxen for your Homestead if you only own adults, as we're specifically told that these need to be Young Oxen for the 40 Oxen requirement. To craft a Chocolate Chip Cookie, you'll first need to craft two Chocolate Chips using seven Double Boilers and six Baking Chocolates each. Both of these items can be earned by asking your friends to send them to you. Once you have the two Chocolate Chips, you'll combine those with 10 Whipped Yolks (also earned by asking friends) to finally create a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies. For finishing this final goal, you'll receive 1,000 XP, 12 Stocking Stuffers and two Honey Badgers.
Regardless of the other you complete them in, once you complete this second set of five goals, you'll receive the ultimate prize for this event: a festive Polar Bear (complete with red jacket and crown) that your avatar can ride just like a horse.
Again, as you complete these goals, you'll earn Stocking Stuffers which will go towards the in-game contest lasting the next 15 days (as of this writing). The Grand Prize will go to two winners, who will each receive $2,500 in cash. No, that's not 2,500 Horseshoes, that's $2,500 in USD! The Silver Prize will go to 50 winners, who will each receive five special holiday Gift Boxes (likely containing limited edition animals or decorations). Finally, the Bronze Prize goes to 100 winners that will each win a single Gift Box and 25 Horseshoes. Good luck!
