It's Grow Time!
- Upgrade your Holiday Tree to Level 6
- Collect 20 Tinsel
- Collect from 40 Restaurants
First things first, the Holiday Tree can be upgraded by collecting items like different colors of lights, along with Tree Stands, which are earned by tending four very specific businesses in the store: the Reindeer Zoo, Holiday Sweater Shop, Holiday Cookie Bakery, and Kringle Crafts. The Holiday Cookie Bakery and Kringle Crafts cost coins, but even then, you're not guaranteed to receive a Tree Stand each time you collect from one. Thankfully, these same businesses should work for the Tinsel task, as the Tinsel is earned by collecting from Snow Buildings. There are four pages of Snow Buildings in the store, ranging from expensive City Cash community buildings to fairly cheap coin businesses, and you likely already have a few of these items in your city. Just make sure to collect from all of them as often as you can, and you'll have the 20 Tinsel accumulated in no time. For completing this first goal, you'll receive five energy and 1,500 Goods.
Santa's Visit
- Ask for 15 Gingerbread Cookies
- Have a Level 4 Snowman
- Collet from Gift Box Abode or Twinkle Castles 20 Times
The Gingerbread Cookies are earned by posting a general request to your news feed. Meanwhile, the Snowman refers to the Snowman building project that you can tackle with a friend. Check out our complete guide to building a Snowman for more on completing that particular task. Finally, the Gift Box Abode and Twinkle Castle are both homes in the store. The Twinkle Castle adds 2,500 citizens to your town at a price of 56 City Cash, while the Gift Box Abode costs 112,500 coins (it's on sale for 25% off its normal price). Completing this second goal will see you being rewarded with 150,000 coins and 250 XP.
Holiday Sparkle
- Expand to the Holiday Light Display
- Ask friends for 20 Holiday Music
- Collect from Winter Horse Stables 6 Times
The Holiday Light Display will be found one or two squares out from your current town's limits, unless you've already expanded to the full game board. In that case, this Holiday Light Display should appear in your inventory, but you may need to refresh the game after starting this goal to make it appear. You'll need to expand out to it using the traditional method of adding more citizens to your town, as well as collecting Zoning Permits. Meanwhile, the Holiday Music can be earned by posting a general news request to your wall. Finally, the Winter Horse Stable is a Community Building that costs 80,000 coins to build from the store (it adds 1,700 citizens to your town's max population). The base takes 10 energy to build, and you'll need to finish it by collect 10 Staff Members in the form of friends or Bonus Crew you may already have on your account. When you complete this final goal, you'll receive 500 XP and three Bonus Crew Members.
At this point, if you've also completed all three of these goals, you'll receive the Elf Retirement Center as your overall Act Completion goal. Since you can work on all nine goals in this Holiday on the Lake Saga at the same time, if you manage to complete all nine (in any order) before this event expires in the next 10 days, you'll also win the grand prize: a Winter Skyrise for your city. Good luck completing them all in time!
