Year after year, FarmVille players are given the chance to place a large Holiday Tree on their farms in order to collect presents that can be opened towards the end of the year. This year is no exception to that, as the 2012 Holiday Tree has now started rolling out to our farms! Similar to previous events, this Holiday Tree can be placed without building, and you can immediately start collecting presents to put inside in. Gifts can be earned in a variety of ways, in addition to simply purchasing them with Farm Cash. You can send presents directly to your neighbors in the hopes that they'll return the favor, and you can also claim free presents from news feed posts shared by your friends as they also work on collecting presents for their own Holiday Trees.
The Holiday Tree will start small, but will grow in size and complexity as you collect presents. Here are the five stages (note that the original stage, from 0-24 presents, is called Stage 0).
Stage 1 - 25 Gifts Required
Stage 2 - 50 Gifts Required
Stage 3 - 75 Gifts Required
Stage 4 - 150 Gifts Required
Stage 5 - 300 Gifts Required
On December 24, Zynga will allow players to start opening up their presents, which apparent include items relating to Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and Christmas itself. We'll make sure to let you know the items that you can expect to receive inside these gifts just as soon as we learn more, but for now, head into your own game and start collecting those presents for your tree!
