As we continue our look at the Lost City of Atlantis in SimCity Social, the game's Sunken City event has become more complicated with each stage or act. We've moved into Act 3 of this four-part event, which sees us once again combining work at the University with actually rebuilding the Lost City. We're here with a look at completing all of the quests within Part 3, thanks to the game's official forums. Let's get started!
Up from the Depths!
- Study Ancient Atlantis
- Ask Friends for 3 Peer Reviews
- Launch 8 Submarine Expeditions
The Ancient Atlantis task can be completed at a University, while you can earn the Peer Reviews by posting a general request to your news feed. As for the Submarine Expeditions, you'll need to complete these at a 1-Star Marine Exploration Center, which costs 124,000 Simoleons to purchase in the store. You'll also need a slew of building materials to finish it off, as you'll need 12 Business Cards, 10 Community, six goodwill, six Fury and four Dog Houses. The upgrade to 1-Star requires more parts still, as you'll need eight Investments, 10 Consultants, six Robot Workers, three Entrepreneurship and five Animal Mascots. Completing all of this work gives you 15,000 Simoleons and eight XP for finishing this first quest.
Dead Man's Chest
- Earn 150,000 Simoleons
- Earn 5 Big Ideas
- Build Carbon Capture Incorporated
The Simoleons can be earned by collecting from your Businesses, your Mayor's House and so on, while the Big Ideas are earned by completing University jobs. It's likely that if you already have a full inventory of Big Ideas, the game won't register you earning any additional Ideas, so you'll need to spend them on upgrades before earning more. Finally, a Carbon Capture Incorporated is a business that's only available to build after you've reached 95,000 Sims in population. It can be unlocked early for 99 Diamonds, and it costs 500,000 Simoleons to build. It requires 20 Business Cards, six Business Savvy, 10 Teamwork, five Consultants and two Kaizens to actually complete. You'll receive eight XP and two Atlantean Cogs for completing this second quest.
In the Know
- Have a 2-Star University
- Start 20 Student Jobs
- Earn 5 Expression
You don't have to complete lengthy jobs in order to complete this "20 Student Jobs" task, so feel free to choose the shortest jobs available to save time. As for the University upgrade, it requires four Efficiency, three Flair, four Creativity and four Entrepreneurship to unlock. Completing this quest gives you another 10 XP and two Atlantean building materials.
Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!
- Have a Twin City Relationship
- Visit 5 Neighbors
- Perform 20 Friendly Actions
A Twin City is represented on your Friends Bar by the light blue surround, and you can earn that Twin City status by requesting it directly to that friend. Completing this simple quest gives you 10 XP and another three Atlantean Cogs.
Mean Mayor Mustard
- Have 10 Rivals
- Perform 20 Rival Actions
- Have 3 Wrath
If you don't already have 10 Rivals, and you don't want to ruin any positive relationships you currently have, make sure to scroll all of the way to end of your Friends Bar and become Rivals with those players that have already stopped playing the game. After you complete this quest, you'll receive 12 XP and another Atlantean building material.
Self-Raising City
- Complete Stage 2 of the Atlantean Lighthouse
- Collect from a 3-Star Marine Exploration Center
The Atlantean Lighthouse requires eight Artifact Shards, five Atlantean Cogs and three Atlantean Seals, which can be earned by simply completing these quests. As for the final two upgrades to the Marine Exploration Center, you'll need to collect a slew of building materials. Reaching the 2-Star upgrade requires five Trust, five Rage, eight BBQ, three Innovation and eight Kibbles. Finally, reaching a 3-Star level requires two Unity, two Wrath, 10 Tour Guides, seven Flair and 10 Ribbon Prizes. When you finish this final quest in Part 3 of the Sunken City event, you'll receive 20 XP and three Atlantean Cogs. Good luck!
