The game that turned millions of casual game fans into tower defense pros overnight will rise once more ... again.
PopCap Games has announced that a sequel to
Plants Vs. Zombies is in the works for a late spring 2013 release. The sequel will, of course, bring with it a slew of "new features, settings, and situations," though PopCap is coyly revealing nothing more. However, the game's residents had this to say:
"Spring is
crullest curlie ungood time, and plantz grow dull roots," an unidentified
zombie spokesperson said. "So, we are meating you for brainz at yore house. No worry to
skedule schedlue plan... we're freee anytime. We'll find you."
"There was a time we relished a bracing, hearty blend of zombies, in the morning," said Sonny F. Lower, a representative of the Flora Forever Foundation. "But first, a brisk shower and some strategic pruning are required. Tomorrow is near!"
Other than that, no one but PopCap and
EA knows much of anything about the upcoming Plants Vs. Zombies sequel. Unless you do, and in that case, you better not hold out. Seriously ... don't be a jerk.
