While the stereotype of dragons being large, scary monsters may hold true elsewhere, we've met quite a few friendly dragons within the world of CastleVille that just want to be our friends. Such is the case with a poor dragon named Blaze, tasked with guarding a magical portal until he's caught by the evil Faugrimm. We'll need to help this poor dragon and learn more about what Faugrimm's planning in the new quest series: Battle for the Portal. Here's a guide to finishing these quests, so let's get started!
A Portal Too Far
- Have 4 Hedge Shears
- Explore the Gloom
- Inspect the Ice Bramble Wall
The Hedge Shears are earned by posting a general news post on your wall. You'll receive 1,500 coins and 30 XP for finishing this first quest.
Cold Hearted
- Try to Chop Down the Ice Bramble Wall
- Mine 3 Stones
- Tax 2 Houses
Rewards: 1,000 coins, 20 XP
Love Hurts
- Destroy the Ice Bramble Wall
- Craft Hazel Doll
- Craft Faugrimm Doll
The Ice Bramble Wall requires some building materials to destroy (yes, you need to "build" something to take it down): a Faugrimm Doll, eight Wedding Cakes and a Hazel Doll. The Wedding Cakes are earned via a general news item you'll post on your wall. You'll receive 1,750 coins and 35 XP for finishing this quest.
Blaze Through
- Explore the Gloom
- Fish Once
- Tend 8 Chickens
Rewards: 1,000 coins, 20 XP
Cloning Around
- Have 6 Warning Horns
- Banish 2 Gloom Goblins
- Craft 2 Hard Boiled Eggs
The Warning Horns are earned through another general news item you'll place on your wall. You'll earn 1,500 coins and 30 XP when you finish this quest.
Glyph Busters
- Craft 4 Elements of Charity
- Tend 10 Flowers
- Destroy the Glyph of Greed
The Elements of Charity can be crafted using items like Honey and Wool, along with two items you'll need to ask your friends to send you. You'll earn 2,500 coins and 50 XP for finishing this quest.
Alastair's Errand
- Craft 2 Parchment
- Craft 2 Bottles of Ink
- Tax 10 Houses
Rewards: 1,750 coins and 35 XP
Two to Go
- Craft 5 Elements of Humility
- Clear 5 Grass
- Destroy the Glyph of Pride
Rewards: 2,500 coins, 50 XP
Time to Focus
- Craft 1 Bubbly Grog
- Tend 10 Animals
- Use 1 Super Chop
Rewards: 1,500 coins and 30 XP
Without Restraint
- Craft 6 Elements of Serenity
- Fish 10 Times
- Destroy Glyph of Wrath
Rewards: 3,250 coins and 65 XP
Attack of the Clone
- Have 8 Dragon Treats
- Craft 1 Mace of Nullification
- Use the Mace of Nullification
Rewards: 2,000 coins and 40 XP
Re-Enginnering the Portal
- Craft 3 Rifting Scepters
- Craft 3 Hammers
- Deconstruct the Broken Portal
For completing this final quest, you'll receive 1,750 coins and 35 XP, and you'll also have been introduced to a new friend in your Kingdom. We'll make sure to let you know if Blaze is given more tasks to complete in the game in the future, so stay tuned!
