Your town in CityVille now has the potential to be the go-to spot for tourists and businessmen alike, thanks to the release of the Franklin Convention Center, a large new community building that can be placed either in your home city or in your Downtown expansion. The Franklin Convention Center comes with its own goal, bringing back the Timed Goal mechanic that we haven't really seen in the game in some time.The goal is called "Get the Job Done," and it comes with a five day time limit for the Gold Ranking. Here's what you're up against:
- Place and Complete the Franklin Convention Center
- Ask friends for 10 Show Booths
- Collect from Chuggin' Dustin Trains 4 Times
Obviously, building the Center will be the biggest challenge you'll face, as this particular building offers a bulk building process, rather than requiring you to collect multiple types of individual building materials. In this case, you'll need to reach 100 points on the building's "Build Progress" meter, and will also need to ask your friends for 25 Security Cameras. As with previously released buildings, these build points are earned by simply spending energy on the building, as you'll earn one point per one energy spent. You can also ask friends for build points, saving you time and (literally) energy along the way.
Once you build the Franklin Convention Center (even if you can't finish it within the five day time period), you'll have a building that offers a 1,400 citizen boost to your maximum allowance, or 1,400 Downtown Value Points, depending on where you place it. Again, if you can finish this goal in the five day time limit for Gold, you'll receive 100 XP and 20 energy for doing so. Completing it at any time after that will see you earning less rewards, as you might expect.
As you head into your city to start construction on this building, we suggest waiting until you have a full energy bar, before actually logging into your town. That way, you can spend every single point on the building's construction, hopefully making it to more than a third of the way to the finish in a single sitting. Also remember to check your inventory for energy batteries to boost you along even further. We wish you luck in completing this goal in time for the Gold rewards!
